All Tango instructors from the DC metropolitan area and their students are invited to participate on the III Annual “Tribute to the Tango Dancer” with some inspirational performances and a great Tango party. The goal of the tribute is to inspire new dancers to participate in our great Argentine Tango Community and also to promote local Tango instructors and other Tango Events.

Benefit for Students:
Students will learn a lot. They will help to grow the tango community and make Tango even more exciting in this area. You will be the inspiration for others. You will be acknowledged as a Tango Dancer, your performance will be posted on the YouTube and you will receive a Certificate of Participation. You will have a lot of fun!

How to participate:
1-Save the date: January 30, 2010. Make a plan with your partner. Start practicing. Fill out the Showcase Form below. Add your check and send to Forever Dancing. Receive your tickets and decide who to invite to see your show, or attend the workshops.

Benefit for instructors
The biggest benefit for a instructor is with no doubt, the interest boost on your students dancing. They will be taking more classes, be more focused and motivated. They will help to grow the tango community and make Tango even more exciting in this area. Instructors will be inspiring Tango to others. They will have the opportunity to teach (and get paid) in a very influential event. Participating instructors will increase their exposure on the Tango Community opening door to new opportunities. Instructors contact information will be in the program of the event and a brief Tango Biography/Experience will be available on the website.

All participants, except participating professionals, will need a ticket to access the ballroom during workshops, show and party. No exceptions.

There are four ways for Argentine Tango Instructors to participate:

1. Transform your students into a  Tango Star. Enroll them to perform on the III Annual
   “Tribute to the Tango Dancer” showcase. Each instructor can have a maximum of 5 students/dances. Music should be no longer that 3 minutes and presented to the DJ already edited (if necessary) no later than 8:30 PM. The tribute has limited number of presentations for the show, the presentations will be taken in order of enrollments until the show is completely full. The enrollment is done by the student. The Enrollment for the Pro/Am and Amateurs showcase is done by submitting the Showcase entry form below with an enrollment fee of $50 , which includes the ticket for the student performing to the Show/Milonga. Showcase entry form and enrollment fee are to be sent together to Forever Dancing LLC,
   P O Box 9193, Alexandria, VA 22304. On the day of the event instructor & student need to check in at the door , your name will be on the RSVP list.
2. Teaching a Workshop: Any local recognized instructor will have the opportunity to teach workshops and receive a payment of $6 per student or the minimum of $40 per workshop with a maximum of 4 workshops throughout the event. In order to enroll for teaching a workshop the instructor must have one student performing per workshop request or to be an event promoter. The request below should be sent by mail or e-mail after or with student enrollment. After request approval, instructor name, class description and short bio will go to the webpage of the event. All teaching instructors, contact phone and email will be available on the event program.
3. Performing with Professional Partner. It will be an honor to have you perform. It will be a great exposure as well. However, this year we are having a bigger participation of instructors and students so we are limiting to the number of pro shows creating more opportunities to the students to dance and perform. Participation on the pro show is optional and will be granted only for the 5 top participating instructors.
