Constantino Bastidas and Susan Reynolds, founders of Tiempo de Tango, are known for the style and passion of their tango.   Their choreography and performance in the 1997 Library of Congress presentation, The Golden Age of Tango, marked the beginning of the company.  Over the past few years Tiempo de Tango has collaborated with musicians such as Alborado, Quintango, Musica Aperta, Siempre Tango, and both the Fairfax Symphony and the Baltimore Symphony to bring a variety of tango productions to the metropolitan area and beyond.  In 2001 they were awarded a commission to create Piolin, Tanguero Sonador for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as part of Performing Arts for Everyone and the Millennium Stage.  Piolin and Desde la Orilla,  Tiempo de Tango productions which each drew finalist nominaions for Metropolitan DC Dance Awards, were performed also at Dance Place.  Most recently Constantino and Susan created and performed a history of tango through dance for the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore.  Constantino has taught tango for more than 10 years and Susan has taught with him for the past 8 years.  They teach private classes in their home studio and offer group classes periodically in a variety of venues such as City Dance Center at Strathmore and Black Rock Center for the Art.

Fabio Bonini has been performing tango for 15 years. He goes to Buenos Aires every year to dance and study with different masters. Besides 14 years of experience Fabio has a great method of teaching and an enormous understanding of the Tango universe and its nuances. He breaks down this complex art into easy and fun to learn components according to the Tango perspective his pupils want to have (Tango Salon, Fantasia, Show, Milonga, Waltz, Canyengue, Milongueiro, Close, Open Embrace, Tango Nuevo, etc). He is considered one of the most versatile Argentine Tango coach because his unique knowledge and experience. Fabio is always recognized as one of the top dancers and instructors and became known for promoting Argentine Tango in many different cities of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, England and USA. Fabio nowadays is living in Virginia where he teaches regularly. He works with Quintango (Tango Quinted) as the main male dancer performing all over USA. Fabio teaches group classes and hosts 'La Divina Milonga', a monthly milonga (every 1st Tuesday) at Elan Dancesport Center in Fairfax. Jake Spatz has been teaching Argentine tango since 2005 and DJing since 2006. He has brought his enthusiasm for the dance, music, and culture of the tango to cities up and down the East Coast, including New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, and Baltimore, and is an energetic captain of the tango scene in his hometown Washington, DC. He has been house teacher at the popular Eastern Market milonga since 2006, and currently he hosts Milonga Local at Local 16 on Wednesdays, and DJs every 2nd Saturday at Milonga Porteña at Chevy Chase Ballroom. As a performer, Jake has appeared on stage at the Kennedy Center, Disneyworld, and ArtScape, as well as in two television commercials and a full-length stage play. Alongside his work as a DJ, he collaborates with music collectors from around the world to find the best possible LP sources, which he then restores digitally. Jake is also a noted translator of tango lyrics, and in addition to the 80 verse translations on his website he contributed 30 texts to the book In Strangers' Arms: The people, passion, and poetry of the tango by Beatriz Dujovne. Jake's teaching is bright and full-bodied, with a peppery bouquet and a lasting finish. He makes it a point to present the dance comprehensively and objectively, giving equal attention to men and women, so that dancers can step onto the floor, develop a personal style, and excel at this lifelong passion—el tango. You can visit his website at www.tangodc.com

Angel Garcia: He can take any stage any space and make it his own... A serious-minded professional dancer, ensemble member, or visionary choreographer. Garcia has worked and studied with Carlos Gavito, Nito and Elba and Hector Zaraspe. He has danced live at Manhattan's most illustrious venues including CARNEGIE HALL, LINNCOLN CENTER, and TOWN HALL. Angel also shared his artistry with an appreciative worldwide audience, appearing on GOOD MORNING AMERICA and BEST TALK. Music videos are still another arena the multi-talented Garcia has conquered, appearing in MY COUSIN VINNY, the chart-topping Vanessa Williams/Chayanne single from the major motion picture DANCE WITH ME. Garcia's unique style in Argentine Tango, Milonga and Vals, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the Latin American Folkloric repertoire, plus a lively take on contemporary social dances including Salsa and Merengue, ensure that he's always in demand -- from the ballroom to the barrio, from Boston to Buenos Aires anywhere excellence is found. You can visit his website at www.angeltango.com.

Vivian and Isidoro Levinson: Were both born in Buenos Aires, where they lived for more than 30 years until moving to the United States. Although they didn't begin dancing tango until later, they were  avid social dancers throughout her life. They began dancing tango seriously in 1995. Since then they have made tango a central passion of their lives, returning to Buenos Aires to study with the masters, attending tango events in other places, dancing in milongas around the world, organizing a local "milongas", performing, and teaching. Some of the many masters that they have studied are: Gustavo Naveira and Fabian Salas from The Tango Lesson, Lorena Ermocida and Osvaldo Zotto from TangoX2, Daniela and Armando Arcuri from Tango Passion, Claudio Villagra from Forever Tango, Leandro Palou and Andrea Misse, Nestor and Patricia Ray and Carina Losano and Pablo Fontana. Although inspired by many if their figures, Viviana and Isidoro’s style is distinct from these dancers. Their flamboyant style is tinged by a certain wicked humor that perfectly expresses her positive zest for life. It manifests itself in impeccable timing, craft, and wit. You can visit his website at www.vivitango.com
