Salsa is a Latin American dance that emerged in Cuba and Puerto Rico due to a lot of African Rhythm influence from the slaves the Spaniards brought over. It consists of a lot of hip movements, fluid transitions and intricate footwork. The name "Salsa" is the Spanish word for sauce, connoting (in American Spanish) a spicy flavor. The Salsa aesthetic is more flirtatious and sensous than its ancestor, Cuban son.

Each serie last 4 weeks(semester). Drop-ins are not allowed except with instructor permission. For completion of Salsa I level and,or, fully understanding of the material, This level is recommended to be taken at least four times.
6:30PM - 7:15PM REGISTER HERE !!	SALSA 1	BEGINNER and UP - DROP-IN
Lead and follow basic figures, tempo and have a good understanding of how figures relate to each other, and your partner. Material covered will include Basic figures,Turn Right, Turn Left, Cross Body Lead, Side Breaks, Cumbia Breaks, Change of Places, Basic Shines. Material is required for Salsa II.
7:15PM–8:00 PM REGISTER HERE !!	SALSA 2	INTERMEDIATE (SPICY) - SERIE
Here you will develop stronger confidence in Salsa dancing. At this level you will develop a further understanding of the foundation and how those basics relate to more complex combinations. Some of the material covered on this class will include Traveling Turns Variations, Back Spot Turns, Social Step Combos, Swivels, Double Turns, Back to back Variations, Intermediates Shines. Material changes every semester.
